Vocal Groups


In the increasingly popular world of a cappella groups, Accent has carved out its own niche. Inspired by the jazz harmonies of TAKE 6 and The Hi-Lo’s, Accent decided to take their love of close-harmony as far as it could go.  

Afro Blue

Led by choral director, Connaitre Miller, Howard University's vocal jazz ensemble, Afro Blue was formed in the spring of 2002. In 2003, Afro Blue received the Downbeat Magazine Award for Best College Jazz Group. 

Apex Singers (The)

Led by arranger and musical director Ollie Lambert,  this Manchester-based ensemble pushes the boundaries of a cappella music through unique and innovative arrangements.Their album Hiraeth, brings together fresh arrangements of folk songs representing cultures from every continent. 

The Blenders

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, The Blenders are proud to call Minneapolis, MN their home. They celebrated a 30 year milestone of touring the U.S. with their unique style of vocal, harmony-based music. 

Camden Voices

Based in London, England, Camden Voices is a collective of talented musicians at the leading-edge of contemporary ensemble singing. The group is led by musical director and founder, Ed Blunt.

Cantus is a professional male vocal octet performing a varied repertoire from the Renaissance to the 21st Century. The Washington Post hailed the Cantus sound. as having both “exalting finesse” and expressive power with the “spontaneous grace” to its music making.

Club For Five

Club For Five is an a cappella quintet based in Helsinki, Finland. Rooted in the Nordic music tradition, the group is influenced by jazz and pop music with wonderful colors and delightful energy. To date the group has released 9 albums (5 Gold-selling cds) in Finland.

The CompanY

The CompanY. Asia’s premiere vocal harmony act was formed in July 1985 by alumni of the Ateneo College Glee Club. Initially, they sang as back up for the country's reigning pop stars of the 80's before turning professional as today’s headlining concert artists.
