Based in New York City, Highline is a new vocal jazz quintet that combines the vocal jazz tradition with modern choral and contemporary a cappella techniques. Highline pairs original arrangements with an energetic and fun performance style for a unique musical experience.

 

Tenor Mark Farnum and Alto Emily Gaggiano studied at Ithaca College, while Soprano Alyssa Venora, Baritone Chester Martin, and Bass Jared Graveley attended the University of Connecticut.

 

In December of 2017, Highline debuted with a video of their choral jazz arrangement of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." Since then, they've covered a variety of songs, from standards to current pop hits. The group continues to create new content that binds the traditions of old and new, and looks forward to creating more in the near future.
